G.S.M.G Bragi
The oldest and largest student music association in Groningen
G.S.M.G. Bragi, founded in 1882, is the student music association of Groningen and has about 100 members, divided into three sections: the large choir, the orchestra, and the a cappella choir. With this, Bragi is the oldest, largest, and most social cultural association for students in the city.

What can you do at Bragi?
Each section rehearses weekly, and the large choir and orchestra also work together on joint projects. Every semester, Bragi holds multiple concerts in and around Groningen, with diverse and surprising programs. In addition to music, there is plenty of space for socializing. After each rehearsal, there’s a drink at our regular pub, and after concerts, there are drinks and parties. They also regularly organize rehearsal weekends: intensive but, above all, fun weekends where music and togetherness are central. Every two years, Bragi also goes on a foreign concert tour. In recent years, they have visited Berlin, Krakow, Bologna, Warsaw, Prague, and Croatia (Zagreb/Pula).
In short: Bragi stands for beautiful music and lots of fun! What more could a student want? Interested in joining? Whether you want to sing in the choir or play in the orchestra, feel free to get in touch or drop by a rehearsal!
